School Programs

CHORUS

The Chorus program is designed to enhance the musical, creative and expressive qualities of all students. Musical opportunities are provided for every child to learn the basic skills of singing and reading music.

CHEERLEADING

The Beckham Bears cheerleading program is driven by school spirit, it develops good sportsmanship among students, supports other athletic programs, and develops relationships within the community between schools during athletic events.

IMAGINEERS

The Imagineers Club is a useful program for all students, it is the incorporation of engineering, art and mathematics. Students are to gain valuable skills in order to create crafts and items that can then be sold within the community.

ASL: AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

Is a complete and complex language that employs signs by moving the hands combined with facial expressions and postures of the body. Students will learn the vocabulary, movements, and mechanics of the language by engaging in fun activities to strengthen their skills.

NEWS CREW

The Beckham News Crew is a student-centered media club responsible for student announcements. In addition, students gain hands on experience taking part with production both off-air and on-air as camera directors and reporters.

GARDEN CLUB

The main purpose of the Garden Club is to promote the love of gardening and increase awareness of ecology. Throughout the school year we will learn how to save seeds, grow flowers, fruits and herbs. It provides a great way for students to gain hands-on experience growing their own food, and tasting the fruits of their own labor.

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL

The Basketball Club aims to coach students basic techniques, skills, confidence, and the ability to work together against other teams. They will learn how to dribble, shoot, pass, and new abilities to further their knowledge of basketball.

C.A.K.E.: COOKING AND KINDNESS ENGINEERING

This club provides students with the opportunity to learn culinary techniques while applying real world mathematics and science. Cooking and kindness engineers will also learn different ways to show kindness and community involvement through cooking.

ART CLUB

In art club students will be making crafts and 2D art work incorporating the many different techniques and skills they have learned. Projects will be both taken home and portrayed around the school.

FEA: FUTURE EDUCATORS OF AMERICA

Is not only for those interested in the field of education, but for those interested in leadership as well. FEA provides students with the opportunity to volunteer throughout the school, help fellow peers, and learn important skills such as responsibility and leadership.
